The Houston Police Department is committed to using volunteers to enhance the delivery of police service to the citizens of Houston through the department’s Police Volunteer Initiatives Program (VIP). An important component of the Police VIP is the Citizen Patrol program. Per the overwhelming response of the Westbury community, the District K council office is willing to co-sponsor (in conjunction with HPD) a Citizens on Patrol class for the Westbury community. Attached is a Citizens on Patrol application and a brochure illustrating the program.

Before HPD can offer a class, individuals are required to:
1. Complete the attached application
2. Pass a background check
 
After these 2 initial steps are met, Sgt. Sutton will coordinate with the District K council office to facilitate a class for the Westbury community. Please submit all completed application forms to the Westbury storefront at 5600 S Willow Dr., Houston, Tx  77035  addressed to: ATTENTION Sgt. Timothy Sutton. Sgt. Sutton will collect the forms and begin the background checks.
