posted Apr 8, 2020, 8:07 PM by Westbury Civic Club President

The April 2020 Westbury Crier is being issued as a DIGITAL ONLY newsletter, due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Here is a link to the April 2020 Westbury Crier Newsletter. Please help us by sharing to your friends and family.

The Westbury Civic Club office is closed to visitors and the WCC office manager is working from home, in accordance with the Stay Home, Work Safe order. Voicemails and emails are being checked regularly, and mail is checked twice per week. The work of the Westbury Civic Club is continuing– statement of accounts, resale certificates, review of house plans, etc.

Heavy Trash Day in Westbury is TOMORROW (Thursday, April 9) and JUNK WASTE will be collected.

This issue contains pages of information and resources about the Covid-19 epidemic and the Stay Home order. If you have not yet submitted your information to the 2020 Census, there is information about how to do so by phone or website. There is also information about work the Harris County Flood Control District is doing in Westbury.  For fun stuff, there is a whole page of photos “As Seen in Westbury” on page 9.  We are accepting photos for the May newsletter; you can email photos to us at the WCC office email.

There is a feature called “We LOVE Our Constables” on page 7. The constable program is important as a “force multiplier” and is successful at reducing crime. Your financial support for the WCC and the Constables is needed now, more than ever.  We know that some will not be able to pay the amount they would like to pay for the Westbury Constable program. If you have the ability to send a payment, please help your friends and neighbors who may not be able to pay during these challenging times. We have added a new feature to the WCC website to allow payment by credit card or by your PayPal account, as discussed on page 7.

Stay Safe.  Take Care.
