Becky’s family moved to Houston one week before Hurricane Carla hit in 1961. She grew up in neighboring Maplewood and attended Parker, Johnston, Fondren and Westbury High School. She and her husband purchased their home in Parkwest in 1979 to be close to her parents and raise their children. She joined the civic club board as the Parkwest 2 Section Director in 2002 and served as Community Relations Director from 2005-2010.  After becoming a Texas Master Naturalist in 2004 she began to see Westbury in a whole new way and the Working on Westbury (WOW) campaign began.  In addition to being passionate about nature she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and baseball.

Marcia moved to Westbury from Friendswood in 1998 with her husband Jim Smith, because they were attracted to the convenience of living in the inner city after years in the suburbs.  In 2001 they merged their Bellaire-based insurance agency with an old Westbury agency, Bryan Calvin, and truly became “part of the neighborhood”.  Marcia has an MBA, and many years of experience working in accounting and insurance in and around the Houston area.  She is active in the Westbury Community Garden and Westbury Garden Club, and also volunteers her time at a downtown church.

Pam is a CPA, licensed in the State of Texas. She has her own practice and has an office in the same building as the civic club. She specializes in providing Controller/Accounting services for small businesses on a contract basis.
Pam, originally from Columbus, Texas, and her husband Kevin moved to Westbury after they were married seven years ago. Her husband Kevin graduated from Westbury High. Kevin’s father still lives in the neighborhood in the house Kevin grew up in. Kevin has two children Ali, 27 and John, 21. Pam’s hobbies include reading, tennis, and walking in the neighborhood.

Cindy and her husband, both chemical engineering graduates from Clemson University in South Carolina, moved to Houston in 1988 and were attracted to the single-story homes with spacious yards and mature trees found in Westbury.  In the early 1990’s Cindy and other Westbury mothers with young children led a project to build a playground at Westbury Park.  She was later asked to be a community representative on the project to bring a SPARK (School PARK) playground to be shared at Anderson Elementary and Hager Park.  Cindy has served as a Section Director, Director of Deed Restrictions, and was Civic Club President for three years prior to her current role on the WCC board.  She is an avid reader, a gardener, and enjoys travel with her husband and family.

Carlos Mata

Carlos Mata is the new Director of Greenspace and Beautification. Carlos has been a Westbury resident for 10 years. He fell in love with the neighborhood, after living on the northwest side for 17 years. He has been involved with Greenspace Beautification. He was awarded a Mayor’s Proud Partner Award for his efforts. He also conducted Westbury’s first Holiday Home Tour in 2010.

Janie is a long time Westbury resident and wife of former board member Russell Schexnayder. Janie has been active at the Plateau Community Center, serving on the Friends of Chimney Rock Park board. She is an avid genealogist and quilter. She is also active with the Westbury Community Garden.

Jennifer is the Office Manager. She is completing a full system and procedure review of the office and working to automate the office. Jennifer is a graduate of Texas Christian University. After years of working in retail management, she moved to the corporate world for 3 years as an office manager.  Born and raised here in Westbury, Jennifer is excited to be working for her neighborhood.

Ron Brown
Ron has been a Westbury resident for 4 years, and has family roots in the neighborhood going back to the 1950's. After working a number of years in finance, and with an keen interest in improving the area, he started a real estate investment company that specializes in the Westbury / Meyerland area. Ron is also an avid photographer and gardener. He and his wife, recently welcomed a new daughter into their family.

Vicki Eldridge

 
Vicki Eldridge is the new section director for Westbury 4W. She has resided in Westbury over 30 years. Vicki was drawn here by Westbury’s proximity to the Medical Center, where she worked, and also by the "small town" atmosphere in Westbury. Her hobbies and volunteer work have included animal assisted therapy, teaching English as a second language, and church-affiliated work following Hurricanes Katrina and Ike. She sees Westbury as potentially growing with younger families, updated housing, and as a commuter connection to the growing Ft. Bend area.

Robert Capps

Robert is a long-time resident. He went to Andy Anderson Elementary, Johnston Middle School and Westbury High School, graduating in 1978. Robert is a graduate of Houston Baptist University. He is married and has two daughters. In his spare time, Robert enjoys walking the neighborhood, gardening, and playing golf.

William Grimsinger

William is a native Houstonian. He moved to Westbury in 2001 due to the housing value and the proximity to most of the attractions in Houston. William also appreciates ranch houses and trees. William's interests include: food, arts, fishing, travel, and activities with his wife, daughter, and dogs. William is an attorney and participates in several activities in Houston such as Texas Accountants, Lawyers for the Arts, and Playback Theatre (a non-profit improvisational group)

Peter Zografos

Peter grew up in Maplewood and attended Parker Elementary, Fondren Middle School, graduated from Westbury High School in 1986 and then later graduated from the U of H. He played baseball at Westbury Little League from tadpoles up to senior majors and football for Westbury High School. He also played a little college football. He enjoys going to the gym and bike riding. Peter moved back to Westbury in 2000 because, pure and simple, this is a great neighborhood to live in and raise a family. Peter and his wife Jennifer are looking forward to their son attending Parker Elementary and playing baseball on the same Westbury American Little League fields as his father did. Peter is a self-employed insurance agent and owner of a Farmers Insurance Agency since 1999. His office is located here in Westbury.

Joe Niles

Joe has lived in Houston for over 20 years. He attended Pershing Middle School and later graduated from Bellaire High School. After graduation, Joseph moved to Baton Rouge and attended Louisiana State University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. In 2006, Joe moved back to Houston and began working for a engineering and construction firm. After a couple of years, Joe and his wife Monica, purchased a home in Parkwest 3 because of its central location, quiet/clean streets, great neighbors, and beautiful trees. Joe is active in church, enjoys traveling, volunteering and helping others, and sports.
