 President    Becky Edmondson
Email Becky
Becky’s family moved to Houston one week before Hurricane Carla hit in 1961. She grew up in neighboring Maplewood and attended Parker, Johnston, Fondren and Westbury High School. She and her husband purchased their home in Parkwest in 1979 to be close to her parents and raise their children. She joined the civic club board as the Parkwest 2 Section Director in 2002 and served as Community Relations Director from 2005-2010.  After becoming a Texas Master Naturalist in 2004 she began to see Westbury in a whole new way and the Working on Westbury (WOW) campaign began.  In addition to being passionate about nature she enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with her family and friends, and baseball.
 Vice President
Marcia Hartman
Email Marcia
Marcia moved to Westbury from Friendswood in 1998 with her husband Jim Smith, because they were attracted to the convenience of living in the inner city after years in the suburbs.  In 2001 they merged their Bellaire-based insurance agency with an old Westbury agency, Bryan Calvin, and truly became “part of the neighborhood”.  Marcia has an MBA, and many years of experience working in accounting and insurance in and around the Houston area.  She is active in the Westbury Community Garden and Westbury Garden Club, and also volunteers her time at a downtown church.

Cindy and her husband, both chemical engineering graduates from Clemson University in South Carolina, moved to Houston in 1988 and were attracted to the single-story homes with spacious yards and mature trees found in Westbury.  In the early 1990’s Cindy and other Westbury mothers with young children led a project to build a playground at Westbury Park.  She was later asked to be a community representative on the project to bring a SPARK (School PARK) playground to be shared at Anderson Elementary and Hager Park.  Cindy has served as a Section Director, Director of Deed Restrictions, and was Civic Club President for three years prior to her current role on the WCC board.  She is an avid reader, a gardener, and enjoys travel with her husband and family.
